You are able to see posted images ?
Yep, nothing has changed !
I clicked on the link, all tests were successful, I installed the upgrade and all is well !
I'm using core default on my forum !
I'm seeing broken images too.
i just upgraded...noticing that flash embeding / image posting is not working because for some reason any URLs are having an extra "http://"
added to the URL so links are coming out looking like "http://http://website....."
suggestions?
I just did a test image upload and it worked as nornal !

paul i don't believe the issue is with uploading an image...it has to do with how it's automatically handling URLs of any sort adding an extra http to the address within the [img] bbc etc.
I just updated to 1.1.1 and did an attachment in a post test and it worked fine. All my other attachments are good too. I also made sure to backup and made sure all tests were succesful before continuing.

Its how it views a image located on the web, and if it is working normally for you, congratulations, I'm happy for you, but its not working for currently 3/4ths of the people using it, so there is obviously something wrong with the package. I'm currently viewing the changes, to see if there is something wrong, but I'm not much of a php guru as some others, so I probably wont catch it.

There was indeed a problem with a few modifications in the package. If you've installed it and are experiencing the image location problem, uninstall it (should be easy when using the package manager) and reinstall it either by downloading it again (the proper version is now online) or downloading it from the first message of this topic.
We apologies for the inconvenience this might have caused.
the fix worked for me. excellent response time in a resolution.
Problem solved 8)
Indeed. The packages have been regenerated. If you upgraded within the first couple hours, you need to uninstall it via the package manager and install this (http://www.simplemachines.org/community/index.php?action=dlattach;topic=351341.0;attach=125962). Sorry for the inconvenience.

they fixed and released that fix already...
just uninstall the upgrade via package manager and reinstall it via the package managers click here link or downloading and manually upgrading will fix it as they added a updated packaged upgrade.
Seems I downloaded the upgrade after it had been fixed !
Happy Days ;D

Occhh ... Hopefully someone will post a fix for you ASAP
Would defineatly be much easier if I could just make the fix changes please.
I've done this update manually, can anyone poste the manual instructions for the flash embeding / image posting issue ?
Thanks in advance for your help.

Based on what I read in another topic the following may work for you. Use a text editor that supports find/replace.
Make a backup copy of Sources/Subs.php in case it all goes horribly wrong.
Open the file Sources/Subs.php
Replace each line that matches
if (strpos($data, \'http://\') !== 0 || strpos($data, \'https://\') !== 0)
with
if (strpos($data, \'http://\') !== 0 && strpos($data, \'https://\') !== 0)
This suggestion is based on this post, I do not know if it is correct or not.

I suggest you open a new topic in this 1.1 support board to see if someone more knowledgeable can help you. I see you are new here, it's a good bunch of people, you'll get help.
Thanks Ranter :)
I think I upgraded after the problem was fixed.... ;D
If you patched using the patch available in the first couple of hours, uninstall the patch, delete it and reinstall from admin panel.
Folks using the Upgrade packs though may have to wait a little longer.

Hey, I remember having this problem ages ago :o! It took me ages to sort it out! If only I'd found this thread back then. I hope TASSADAR is still around to help me if it should happen again :p
