I have two forums, both with the same problem and I think it is a bug.
A lot of boards have the default permission profile.
When I open an user profile ans watch the permission of a user I can watch them per board. After the boardname the permission profile is shown.
All boards wit a default board permission shows here Read-Only permission profile as be used. Just the shown permission profile name is wrong. The permissions in teh board are as adjusted.
I add 2 pictures to declare the problem.
as a translation: "standaard" is Dutch for Default, "Alleen Lezen" is Dutch for Read Only

Yes, that's correct
And what permission profile does the board itself have set?
Board itself has the default permission profile set. And it is also acting as default permission profile.
On a local PC I have a SMF2 RC2 forum running, same problem there.
Capady, are you still experiencing this issue? If so, could you track it (with pictures)
i checked my 2.0.* install and this issue seems resolved. in the show permissions page it shows the correct permission profile name for the board it is applied to.
