Not necessarily.  You may be able to find a converter to PHP or IPB and THEN use the SMF converter ;).

They don't give you access to your database, right?

I'd doubt it. Free hosts such as that, Proboards, Invision Free etc... tend not to give you access to a database. Well Proboards at least, not sure about the rest.

Invision free have been known to give you your database if you supply a good enough reason, but its not their obligation

Actually, I might be able to help you out here. While poking around the web trying to find something about whether or not Invisionfree would give you access to your database, I found a topic that Trekkie started about this very same thing back in October. Turns out you can pay them to convert to IPB 1.3 (see http://invisionfree.com/index.php?p=conversion for more info). Normally this would be a big problem because you can't download IPB 1.3 anymore. However, I still have a copy installed on a Lycos UK account (it's been there for several months). So, if they'll still convert for you, we can convert your invisionfree board to the one on my Lycos UK account, and then go from there to SMF.
