How about buddy lists? Has anyone put thought into that? That would be a cool idea. Especially if it were able to be integrated with smf somehow.

SMF 1.1 buddy lists suck. We need a more sophisticated social networking type buddy list with invites and permissons to add to buddy lists.
I use ultimate profile mod and the buddy list system is pretty good.
I don't use any mods because I'm not guaranteed that they will be updated. SMF has a buddy system and I hope they improve it. If it's not and I get the time, I'll just disable the buddy system and make my own independent of SMF. That way I don't rely on a mod.
