Template Parse Error!
There was a problem loading the /Themes/default/index.template.php template or language file. Please check the syntax and try again - remember, single quotes (') often have to be escaped with a slash (\). To see more specific error information from PHP, try accessing the file directly.

You may want to try to refresh this page or use the default theme.

hi this is my index.template.php

<?php
// Version: 2.0 RC3; index

/* This template is, perhaps, the most important template in the theme. It
contains the main template layer that displays the header and footer of
the forum, namely with main_above and main_below. It also contains the
menu sub template, which appropriately displays the menu; the init sub
template, which is there to set the theme up; (init can be missing.) and
the linktree sub template, which sorts out the link tree.

The init sub template should load any data and set any hardcoded options.

The main_above sub template is what is shown above the main content, and
should contain anything that should be shown up there.

The main_below sub template, conversely, is shown after the main content.
It should probably contain the copyright statement and some other things.

The linktree sub template should display the link tree, using the data
in the $context['linktree'] variable.

The menu sub template should display all the relevant buttons the user
wants and or needs.

For more information on the templating system, please see the site at:

We are only volunteers here, We're helping your for free, using our spare time..

You are in the right place to ask theses questions, however you may want to be more detailed.

Do this;
1. make a screen-shot of your page that you want to add the widget too.
2. edit the image and mark the area where you want the widget.
3. attach (not paste) your index.template.php file from your current theme.

Could you please make a temporary "regular" member test account.

Which mod (if any) are you using to display the "SAKURA HOUSE" ad on the top, next to where you want the widget?

You could try this, this should involve no coding at all.

See after your adsense ad, right below it, put your widget code, as long as their are no <br />'s between the ads, they should be side by side

i couldn t understand you clearly but do you mean i need to put my widgetbox code right below the adsense code in the same box with the ad management mod? and what about <br/> i don t understand it? do i have to delete any <br/> s between ads?

If you had used a portal such as www.simpleportal.net then a widget could be added to a portal block using html.

If you have a look at my forum link in my sig then you will see the bbc weather on the right side of the portal (home) page.

This is a widget. The video clip ' Screen One' you will see is using the aeva media mod as are the items in the 'Rogues Gallery'

I know what your thinking lol, I dont think that approach would work, the widget would more than likely be displayed below or on top of the adsense ad. lol

OK, on that ad in your screenshot.

Add your widget code below that code, then see what happens, it should, providing their are not linespaces ( <br /> 's ) in the code, be right on the side of it, not above or below.

If your widget ends up below it, paste all the code for your adsense ad and widget here, we can see it.

Their is a typo, try this, I say this way because in the past people have complained about ad management mod, they put 2 ads expecting them to be one on top of the other, and they end up on the same line, and we need to add a line space.

Here is what you need to make sure of:
End of adsense and beginning of widget are on the same line.
Like

google_ad_height = 90;
//-->
</script><script type="text/javascript"src="hxxp://#################/pagead/show_ads.js">

<script type="text/javascript"><!--
google_ad_client = "pub-1025304609486882";
/* 728x90, olu?turulma 13.07.2010 */
google_ad_slot = "1728552187";
google_ad_width = 728;
google_ad_height = 90;
//-->
</script><script type="text/javascript"src="http://pagead2.googlesyndication.com/pagead/show_ads.js"></script><script type="text/javascript"src="http://cdn.widgetserver.com/syndication/subscriber/InsertWidget.js"></script><script type="text/javascript">if (WIDGETBOX) WIDGETBOX.renderWidget('b44621ba-2b58-4603-bb9b-72e66aa0fb3d');</script><noscript>Get the <a href="http://www.widgetbox.com/widget/Lists-of-the-Best-Things-To-Do-from-Diddit">Lists of the Best Things To Do from Diddit</a> widget and many other <a href="http://www.widgetbox.com/">great free widgets</a> at <a href="http://www.widgetbox.com">Widgetbox</a>! you know what? i tried a different widget and put them in the same line as you said but see below what happens! the widget took place of adsense...

(http://i25.tinypic.com/5megxu.jpg)

and here is how i added them

<script type="text/javascript"><!--
google_ad_client = "pub-1025304609486882";
/* 728x90, olu?turulma 13.07.2010 */
google_ad_slot = "1728552187";
google_ad_width = 728;
google_ad_height = 90;
//-->
</script><script type="text/javascript" src="http://cdn.widgetserver.com/syndication/subscriber/InsertWidget.js"></script><script type="text/javascript">if (WIDGETBOX) WIDGETBOX.renderWidget('833bb413-81d9-426c-a9e0-03db516ce962');</script><noscript>Get the <a href="http://www.widgetbox.com/widget/babylontranslation">Babylon Text Translation Box</a> widget and many other <a href="http://www.widgetbox.com/">great free widgets</a> at <a href="http://www.widgetbox.com">Widgetbox</a>! Hmm strange,
Youu could ask for support at the ad management support topic on displaying 2 ads side by side in the same ad box, it should work, Ive done it myself before.

Do you use a portal?
It could be possible with that, to display the ad and the widget, with a custom HTML box.

Well its a portal lol - like a page which you customize then you can add blocks, which can contain adsense and widget codes
