It's possible and it was requested sometime ago and if it's implemented it would go into the paid version

I downloaded from mod site and it seems to not have come, but will check...

added comments.png and comments_add.png to every theme. works now!

Sorry, only Pro version works with SMF 1.1.X and it's only the Social Groups 1.X branch so features added in 2.0 aren't in SMF 1.1.X version.

We have the pro version that we bought from you. On installation, we find that instead of asking members to "join the group", it is asking "leave the group" which is strange. When you click on "leave the group", it says you are not a member of the group. We bought this from you last year and did not deploy it until recently. Is this a bug that has been fixed, in that case a fresh copy needs to be available to previous customers.
If there is a simple fix, we will appreciate the help.

I have a problem.
I had installed the Social Groups and all was working fine but now the layout is messed up see:

This is from my test forum but the same problem I have on my life forum that I now changed to maintainance mode.

When I try to post an comment I get the message "body is missing" , what file can cause that problem?
It can't be found in my error log.

I hope someone can help me.

Hi. Thankyou for this mod, it has great potential.

I installed it ok, however everthing is being pushed into the left side of the template, see image below. Is there a way to correct this?

Also, I cannot see where/how to invite a member to join a group, could send them a PM with the url

ok ive been trying to reach anyone from smfpacks.com now for months, i keep leaving msgs on the always offline chat and stuff. tried signing up for membership and get rejected always. ive paid for mods before and im interested in your products can anyone from your group at least send me a pm or something?

SMF 2.0 Updated

i installed the 2.0 version and have a couple of questions:

1. There are permissions for this in the permissions section, are these meant to not work in free version? They have no effect on the mod and I don't want to allow just everyone to add new groups.

2. If i have to get paid version to not allow everyone to add new groups, do I have to uninstall the free version or will I just get an update?

They'd work in the free version and if you purchase the PRO you'll have to uninstall the installed mod

okay you give a list of features there, and in your first post you say they're only available with the full version... so those features you just listed are only in the full version?  Do I have that right?  The Lite version can't upload images from the PC?

Exactly, those features are only available in the PRO Version

sorry ofr my ignorance , but does this mod works with smf 2.0.2?
i have been trying to install it on 2.0.2, but can't. the option to install doesn't appears in package manager, only list files and delete option appears.

Does anyone have Social Groups up & running?  I think it is what I am looking for; a way to add some social networking to SMF.  I'd like to have a looksee before I buy, however.   The developer does not provide a proper demo where you can see what a populated one looks like, and the screenshots are fuzzy.   :(

(0 for No Limit)

I have it.  There's some bugs in it that the author thanked me for reporting, and said he'll fix.  I'm still waiting for that to happen. Until then, I've taken it offline.  If they're fixed, I can honestly say it's worth the money I spent. If they're not fixed in a timely manner, then I'll report back otherwise.  I'll let you know.

The only issues are that in threads there is no redirection to threads tab at the group (really minor thing), and broken integration with Activity Stream, so there is nothing serious if you don't want to use the later.

I'll fix it, you reported both issues two days ago, and I'll work on them.

Both issues reported were fixed today, thanks to David for report, and I really hope I won't have to talk again about the pro version of this mod

Debe cuadrar los permisos del mod y el copyright debe mantenerlo siempre, usted no esta usando nada de pago por lo que es lo minimo que podria hacer y usted va a encontrar algunos bugs en esta versión, todos corregidos en la versión PRO

I'm evaluating the mod, and would definitely purchase the pro version, but I cannot upload files.  I've tried all the size settings, and extension settings, but always receive "An error has occurred" message with no indication of what the error is.  Any ideas?

this one doesnt work, I put 10 on the height and width

I found another issue on this mod.

an ordinary member can delete a group member even s/he is not a member of that group by clicking view all members of this group then an X icon will appear on every names in that group.

Yes man. I never fixed any of the bugs found here nor re-did the code because I focus all my work into the pro version. None of those two bugs are present in the pro version, in fact our bugs report system has 0 reports in the pro version.

You can use lite (with a few bugs) ;) That's the purpose.

It was placed in the custom work department which has a lower priority, that is why I didn't saw it before.
