I use the warning system for a quite long time on my forums. It's always been that the warning notifications were being sent from the system anonymized account (ID member = 0), however I just noticed that starting from some time ago those notifications are being sent from the particular moderator account who issued the warning. I don't remember changing anything in the forum configuration, and moreover I fail to see anything in the configuration that could affect this behavior. I didn't install any modifications either. What this could be?
if it sent the notifications anonymized once and now it doesn't somethang has to have changed.
so i'd suggest you first find out what has changed.
I understand but I don't think I changed anything... What could have possibly had this effect?
Are you referring to the 'report to moderator' option? For as far as I know it has always been sent with the user id.
Do guests have the option to report posts?

no, I am referring to the "Sent a Notification" feature, a personal message sent to a user when a moderator issues a warning to this user. This notification is used to be sent from an anonymized account (no account at all, actually).

Hmm, need some testing on that. Not using it on my forum.
Is it changed after an upgrade maybe? What version are you using?
I am on RC2 and no, I haven't upgraded recently or installed any modifications. The only change I made was in Display.template.php as described here: http://www.simplemachines.org/community/index.php?topic=395456.msg2742218#msg2742218 I believe it has nothing to do with the warning system, though.
You know what, I was wrong. I did install a modification, which was BCC MESSAGES 1.1 found at http://custom.simplemachines.org/mods/index.php?mod=2354, and it was this mod that broke the discussed functionality. I uninstalled the mod and this functionality came back to its normal behavior. I am marking this topic solved and reporting this to the mod's author.
You rock :D
Thanks for sharing your solution!
