I am currently running on vbulletin but the liscence is going to expire soon, so I am shifting to SMF.
Well,
I am giving a whole new touch to my website, all new sections and everything new. Just the things I want not to change is my "members".
I am even getting a new domain.
How could I just convert the members from vbulletin to smf?

use attached sql (one of them) as converter SQL (( vB3.7 Converter works for vB4 too )
vb_to_smf_only_member.sql > ( members + admins (who is admin) + pms )
vb_to_smf_only_member2.sql > ( members + admins (who is admin))
try it before go to live

I rather advice to use the converter and convert everything, THEN remove the boards and topics and whatever you may wish to remove...
Antes, you're right, you CAN pick selectively, but for example your files will not convert members avatars...
