Title: Can't an admin do whatever a mod can do?
Post by: LynnB on October 02, 2010, 01:33:57 PM
I'm trying to figure out how to dosomething pretty simple - delete a post. Can only a mod do that? If so, how do I make myself a mod as well as admin? Thanks!

Normally an admin has the ability and permissions to do everything possible on the forum. To delete a single post, you normally have a button next to each post on the forum. If you don't see a button there, try using the default theme in english if you are not already.

open the post and tick the check box by it,,at the bottom where it says general discussion there is a drop down select remove selected then click go that should solve your problem

You'll see a button in the top-right of each post that says "Remove" with a red X next to it, just click that.  You need to have Javascript enabled for this to work I believe, but I've never tried it without to see if there's a backup.  Anyways, if you're wanting to remove a whole topic, scroll to the bottom, and there's buttons on the left, and one will say "Remove Topic".

Of course, the locations I specified are on the default theme.

Hi LynnB, figured this out already - or do you still need assistance on this? :)
