Otsikko: SMF 1.1.11 to 2.0 RC4 upgrading and restoring issues
Kirjoitti: amcapt89 - marraskuu 10, 2010, 07:04:17 AP
Dear all,

on Saturday, after a backup of the public_html folder, I have upgraded from v. 1.1.11 to 2.0 RC4, with no apparent issue. Yesterday due to a corrupted mod, I decided to go back to 1.1.11 using the backups I had made a few days ago.

Unfortunately after I uploaded the backup via the ftp client to the folder where the forum is, I got a series of errors such as: "database error: Unknown column 'passwordSalt' in 'field list'
File: /......../.........../public_html/Sources/LogInOut.php"

This is just the last one i found. Previously I had "unknown addDeny", "unknown memberName", and so on. I had solved them changing to add_deny (in example). But every time one is solved another one is coming up, causing a continuos loop.

I tried to run the repair_settings.php again without success.

I had prepared a backup via the control panel of my hoster but we have issues there too; they can restore a full backup, but I have to pay good money....

Any idea at all on how to solve this issue?

Many thanks for your help!

Basically you are searching a script that takes a 2.0 database and translates it to an 1.1.11 one.
Am I correct?
If so, it's not something easy to provide. A similar script should undo all changes made by upgrade_1-1.sql and upgrade_2-0_mysql.sql

You should have made a backup of the database, as well as you have done with files. :-[

Lots and lots of topics on sm.org about upgrading to 2.0.  The database gets upgraded and all the field names changed. It's not impossible, but it is way beyond the scope of the support we are prepared to provide here.  If you made a backup of the database, you should be able to restore it and be back at 1.1.11.
