Otsikko: Help installing using PHP's PDO library
Kirjoitti: danmero - marraskuu 14, 2010, 12:55:27 IP
I try to install/test SMF on FreeNAS, a very small/limited NAS OS.
Due to a small footprint no SQL database is built in however we have PDO_SqLite library built in PHP
# php -v
PHP 5.2.13 (cgi-fcgi) (built: Jul 31 2010 14:02:22)
Copyright (c) 1997-2010 The PHP Group
Zend Engine v2.2.0, Copyright (c) 1998-2010 Zend Technologies

# php -m
[PHP Modules]
cgi-fcgi
ctype
date
dom
filter
gettext
hash
iconv
json
libxml
openssl
pcre
PDO
pdo_sqlite
posix
Reflection
session
SimpleXML
SPL
standard
tokenizer
xml
xmlreader
xmlwriter

I can install Mediawiki and use pdo_sqlite as backend, but with SMF  2-0-rc4 I hit the wall.

Your help will be appreciated.

SMF doesn't support PDO. If you want to use SQLite, you need the SQLite (http://www.php.net/sqlite) extension with SQLite 2.x (SMF doesn't support SQLite3 either - I believe this is because the SQLite3 extension for PHP didn't exist when SQLite support was added to SMF).

Tanks for your answer and your support. I'm looking forward when SMF will support SQLite3 extension for PHP.
Until that day I'll take a look at SMF in a full environment.

Dan

I guess there is nothing much to do then. I'll mark it solved now.
