Should have done this tomorrow as I have to go out shortly, webinstall failed and has left me with no site and the following error.

Unknown column 'a.attachment_type' in 'field list'

Completely crashed, server offline completely

How did it crash, what exactly happens when you run it? Say you write upgrade.php in your browser, and hit Enter. What happens?

Crashed while backing up database sessions table, restarted and ran through without backing up and all looks fine now, panic over.

I hope you did take a backup anyway? :)
You should ALWAYS take a backup before upgrading. Using phpmyadmin would be best.

Back up done at midnight so would not have been much lost.
