I have just switched over from Ikonboard and I have really liked all the new features I can do compared to that older forum software, all except one thing. In Ikonboard I could press a button to insert a link into my post. It would give me separate window for the url and then the link name. The final code would looks something like {url=www.link.com}Link Name{/url}. That doesn't seem to work in SMF and I am left with just the {u}{/u} which can leave some really long links in some cases. Is there a mod where I could add a similar button or already a tag that I'm just missing that does the same thing?
You can do that in SMF as well.

I could have sworn I tried that, not sure why I thought that didn't work with my forum... Thanks though.

That is what I really want, but I am using the SMF 1.1.12. That would make it easier for people who aren't familiar with BBC code.
Ok, I updated to SMF 2.0.1 today, and I was really hoping that the ability to add short links for long url would have been added.
For example:
My site instead of the current http://www.yoursite.com I've seen other forums that allow me to add links and how I want them to appear including ikonboard from ages ago. Is there a way I can add my own button and code for it?
