Title: keep old threads?
Post by: SIGNO.38 on January 11, 2011, 01:09:51 PM
Thinking of converting from Yabb 2.3.  Will all current threads be lost or will they stay during the transition?  ???

They will not be lost. They will be converted over to Smf and stay at your old forum too.

yep, but your SMF will loose all data before the converter inserts the new content. the converter can import your yabb data into an empty database, not in an existing one (merging).

I thought that the OP wants to convert to a brand new Smf and not merge one Smf and one Yabb forum together. In his first post he or she is saying that
QuoteThinking of converting from Yabb 2.3.
and not merging... .

I would like to convert from Yabb to SMF, but keep the existing threads/topics in place as they are today.  So everything continues on like normal, but has a new look.  Make sense?  ???
