I have recently started using SMF, and I am having hell loads of trouble!
My version is 1.1.2, and I need to upgrade because
1. I want Youtube links to work properly
2. I want to advertise (google adsense)
Can anyone tell me what exactly to do?
Do I really need to upgrade in order to use these facilities?
If Yes - then how?
I am so sick, and tired of this that I am willing to give my LOG IN information if someone wants to help
Firstly, you don't need to upgrade to use AEVA, or any of the Video player mods that are compatible with SMF v1.x.
As to upgrading, itself, just get this:

Upload it to your Packages directory, then go to Admin>Packages to apply it.
As the upgrade patches a security hole, it's worth doing.
In truth, it doesn't change the software, much, at all.
I have over fifty mods and not one broke. :)
The package you are trying to download or install is either corrupt or not compatible with this version of SMF.

the problem is that
i installed AD Management Mod but it does not show anywhere
im going nuts!
