hi,
Im using a SMF 2.0 RC3 without any problem. in the admin panel I receive a message suggesting to update to SMF 2.0 RC5. Following this link I found the package with this note:
Note: As this is in development, we do not recommend running SMF 2.0 RC5 on a production site.
So what I shoul do? Stay on RC3, pass on RC5 or maybe in RC4... btw is still possible to download RC4?
thanks
You can jump straight to RC5 if you wish. All RC releases carry the note about production sites so should be treated just like when you installed RC3.

You are already on a RC version. I think it would be much better if you upgraded your forum to the latest release. Because many bug and security issues have been fixed since the version that you have. But this is my opinion.
Hello there.
I suggest to upgrade to RC5 because its last realise, and it has security fixes.
Please read:Upgrading SMF (http://docs.simplemachines.org/index.php?board=3.0;sort=subject) instructions.
Regards.
Definitely make sure you stay current. The most recent RC5 contains some fixes for known security issues. Not upgrading leaves your site at unnecessary risk.
