Otsikko: webinstall from 2.0 RC3
Kirjoitti: Pincopallino - maaliskuu 15, 2011, 11:31:06 AP
Greetings,
I am "inheriting" the administration of a forum from a previous admin who left. He had installed 2.0 RC3. We got hacked once, the restoration went OK but some functions no longer work (citation, editing of messages). I planned to upgrade from RC 3 to RC 5 to see whether the problems can be fixed and I followed the instructions on the website, which suggests using webinstall.php The problem is that when I point my browser there, it gives no option but 1.1.3. I guess that this is because 2.0 is still in RC and it is not recommended on a production site. Fine, but then what to do? Can I "downgrade" to 1.1.3 by webinstall (I mean, will that work?) Or should I use the zipped files to upgrade to RC 5? Or should I stay quiet and wait for the official release of 2.0, even with some functions not working properly?
Thanks in advance for your help.

there are some issues with the webinstall, it is recommended to use the normal method of upgrading. Upgrading SMF (http://docs.simplemachines.org/index.php?board=3.0;sort=subject)

Thank you so much - the upgrade went like a charm and the problems seem fixed  :)
