Hi, I am new to SMF. I've created a green version of the great default theme. Thanks to babylonking and Alienine. This is my first theme, hope you like it:

rename it "IOGreen" ;D
It does look very nice. A definate improvement to the default theme.
Nice color variation. The SMF Default theme doesn't look bad in green. ;)

i dont think. Maybe to a darkershade of gray maybe, but changeing that would basically take away the "variation of the default theme" feel.

I recon that's a good thing :D
Would be very nice to see also red, gray, and other color versions too!

yeah....it is, but then you couldnt call it the "SMF Default Theme-Green", it would just be another theme. That's what makes this theme special.
Love it the, greens are very neutral and matched nicely.
Upshrink button not working??? Or is that something I have done?
How do you go into the default theme and change the colors?

I agree Red would look kool
@mantaar:
You cannot change the color from the theme options you must download (http://www.frantics.hostdestroyer.com/smfdemo/smfthemes/SMFGreen.tar.gz) and install the theme... :)
Because of your requests I've started the SMF Default Theme - Red today 8):D
@AMBA
You are right the upshrink doesn't work properly but I've solved it...
It would be good if smf could make itself a bit like helios with the color chooser
New topic button is orange?
I guess it is to draw attention to it, just a guess :)
Any chances to have the buttons in french? Or perhaps a PSD so that I can translate them myself?
M
Yeah - very nice. ;) Any chance of getting the buttons or their PSD's in a german version?
I love it...

Love the themes, great work. Unfortunately the Logo Image does not seem to work, but rather shows the default text, regardless of whether a Logo URL is entered or not. Tried this on the red and grey themes too with the same result.
:) I love this theme! I'm using it on my forum. It goes great with my forum.
Been using this since we opened. Still in action ;D

Is this a theme for 1.1 RC2?
--------------------------
Sorry, it can't be, it was published in last July.
What happened to this theme?
This is my favourite, and now, theres no updates on it. It's still old version.
Hey, I've fixed the links if anyone is interested! Look at the first message!
Nice theme! I'm looking for a default theme type layout since they are easier for a n00b like me to make adjustments.
This would be a great theme in other color combos too.
Its just the Babylon theme with some altered images here and there. Using a graphics editor its not really hard to pull off.
oh ayh, that is the Babylon theme. lol
Nice theme.
Does it work with 1.1.5?
For most part yes. But there will be stuff from 1.1 RC1 onwards that would be missing. The theme is that old.
You can green up (a copy of) the Babylon theme (or even copy the images over from this one) for something similar.
I've fixed the errors and updated the link enjoy it! It now works with SMF 2.0 Beta 3.1 Public...
Hadn't seen that before. It's much chirpier and more inviting that the original Babylon.
Thank you for your nice comments antechinus :)
Just tried to install it on XAMPP running 2.0 Beta 3 and got an error: Unable to load main above template.
That's because the theme is intended for 1.1.5, and because the layers in 2.0 changed, it wont work, you can run it through the upgrader from 1.1 to get it working if you want.
Umm, nope, coz it sez it's been updated for SMF 2.0 Beta 3 and the theme file, when loaded into my test forum, also is titled "SMF 2.0 Beta 3". ;)
So methinks this would indicate that.................................

Fortunately it's only on XAMPP coz it has knackered the place totally. :D
<!-- Template layers to use, defaults to "main". -->
<layers>main</layers>
There's why. Change that to
<!-- Template layers to use, defaults to "main". -->
<layers>html,body</layers>
and install it again.
Cool. I'll give it a go once I make another test forum then. I'm still locked out of the existing one despite deleting the theme out of the Themes folder. I suggest someone sort that zip link pronto before anyone tries it on a live site.
If you're locked out then navigate to index.php?theme=1 and that will reset you to the default theme.
Oh cool. Thanks for that. Been so long since I've had to use that one I was thinking it was action=theme1. ::)
Mind you I still have to make another test forum because I set up all the passwords on XAMPP but have never had to use them. Bet you can guess what's happened there. :D
Aint got no server access. Need new installation anyway. Meh.
Still works of course but I'll make another one and make sure I remember the passwords this time.
Ok that works fine. All nice and green in all the right places. Gonna sort that download file then?
Grax por ese theme pero el que quiero...
Pero en verdad el que quiero es el smf 1.5 el que me lo quiera conseguir porfavor.
Please use English when outside of the Language Boards. Thanks.
He's saying he likes the theme but can he please have a version that's compatible with SMF 1.1.5. :)
Actually I'll do a 1.1.5 version if Azak doesn't mind. I've been meaning to do something with Babylon anyway as it's pretty grim in standard form but has potential.
antechinus,
Let us know when the 1.1.5 version is available.
Thanks,
Well I'll do it as soon as Azak says it's ok to mod his theme and distribute the file.
how about a arcade and shop button?
OK, stupid question, but with all of these files, how can i make them into the theme on the forum?
Thanks a billion
I get "Unable to load the 'main_above' template." when i try to preview this theme in 1.1.8 (brand new install, no mods what so ever... except for the the 1.1.7->1.1.8 patch).
I'd really like to use this one, so any ideas would be welcome..
Ok i try a different question then...
Does anyone at all use this theme sucessfully with 1.1.8?
It did work without problems on my 2.0 beta 4 installation, but i'm not sure i want to use that one the "live" forum (since it's a beta + i dont know how well it works with MKportal)
Thanks for the theme. I've actually been looking for a green theme like this. So we'll appreciate it if the color could be a bit deeper.
Thanks
