Hello,
After moving the SMF directories and data base to another hosting company, I am experiencing a SQL Syntax error whenever I try to access a board. The error message suggest that I run an upgrade.php script.
If I need to do this, where would I obtain the appropriate script for SMF 1.1.9.
Thanks,
John
please upgrade to 1.1.13 you are missing a lot of security fixes since 1.1.9. what is the exact error message you are getting?
Hi,
The exact error was:
Lainaa
You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near ' 1, 18)' at line 3
File: /home6/telepat4/public_html/telekinesisacademy/forum/Sources/MessageIndex.php
Line: 103
Note: It appears that your database may require an upgrade. Your forum's files are currently at version SMF 1.1.9, while your database is at version . The above error might possibly go away if you execute the latest version of upgrade.php.
It would be nice if I could upgrade at a later time.
Thanks,
John
i would recommend you upgrade using the large upgrade package and see if that helps first. due to the security issues that you would have in that version, i dont know many people would provide support without you upgrading first.
OK I will undertake that effort.
Thanks,
John
Any update on this? Were you able to upgrade and eliminate the error?
