I'm sure this has been addressed, but my searches did not help me. I was wondering what is involved to roll back my forum from 1.1.13 to 1.1.12? Some of my mods aren't working now and I want to roll back to fix those, then go forward with the update.
How did you update? That would dictate how to roll back.
The update took place through the host. I couldn't get the automatic update. I went through the Fantastico page and updated it that way. The bad thing is it treated it almost like a fresh install. I had to reinstall mods and fix a few other things. I won't be doing that again.
I do have the complete 1.1.12 package. Are there certain files from it I can copy over or is it more involved than that?
If Fantastico updated you like that, there is no point in going back to 1.1.12 as you'll have to 'start fresh' again (you can't just copy certain files, you'd have to copy all of them) and reinstall all of your mods. The easiest thing to do is either install fresh 1.1.13 files and start fresh from 1.1.13, or just fix the mods that are not working properly.
Some of my mods had updates to them to work with 1.1.13. Some have not. If I knew how to fix them, I would.
I guess we'll need to know why you want to revert.
If it's due to a problem, we might be able to sort it.
The main want I need to update to work with 1.1.13 is the Message Preview on Hover mod.
have you tried using the version emulation mod then installing that mod when set to the correct version?
With a small tweak of the install file, it might even go straight on.
I'll check that out and report back.
Well, I would, if I could find it.
I searched "Message Preview on Hover", "Message Preview" and "Hover" and drew three blanks. :(
It's a pain to find, but try this link:

OK... Usual caveat: Read my sig. ;)
Extract the file package-info.xml, from the archive.
If you change every reference "1.1.12" to "1.1.13" and repackage it into the archive then go for the install, it should work.
It did on my forum, anyway. :)
or install http://custom.simplemachines.org/mods/index.php?mod=2113 and use it to do the emulation for you.
Hmmm... Never tried that one.
For some reason, I don't think I will be, either.
Just call me "Old fashioned". ;)
i find it a little easier, but there are advantages to both methods ;)
I just prefer to know what's going on, where I can.
I may be paranoid. But, they MAY be out to get me... ;)
we will work hard on finding your address so that we can be out for you ;) as soon as possible :P
/me hides.

Sweet. Worked like a charm.
