Title: [Theme] CoolMetal
Post by: crazystu on July 22, 2005, 11:19:38 PM
My 4th Theme! This time it is a smooth metal one.
Uses A.M.A's white button set.

okay, i have to rename my theme. Thanks  :(

J/k, best "simple" theme yet, not simple as in plain, simple as in, not...harsh...im escpecially liking the way you set up the nav. bar. Out of the box. Very nice.

Hey, good work. Just my opinion, but I would center the search bar.

One small problem (screenshot (http://filefarmer.com/Tomb/nderror.jpg)) when viewing at large resolutions (1600x1200 in this case) the background repeats vertically and there is a nastly looking grey line.

To fix if you could do: body {background-repeat: repeat-x}

Theme has been updated.
I've made the Nav Links smaller and fixed the large resolution issue.
I couldn't make the search bar in the center because it is next to the news box which I am not using currently. It's like that in the default theme ;)
Edit: Now Added SMF 1.1 Support!

Not my stars. They are from A.M.A's nuvola button set (http://www.simplemachines.org/community/index.php?topic=18760.0).

I need a forum skin for dial-up users. I was hoping this could be the one.

Really an elegant theme. Thanks a lot for it.  :)
Does it already work for 1.1 RC1?

Monk

Just curious if we can go ahead and update this theme to RC1. There is a bug when attempting to mark all posts as read.

Great theme!
I was looking for one that was clean like this one.
But I have a couple questions, I've read tutorials on how to incorperate SMF into a design. And basically you have to include a header and footer, I tried to include my header file just inside the <body> tag and it gave me a bad warning? I've been doing this in the index.template.php file.

Is there a way to incorerate this theme?
My site design http://ssmarts.org (http://ssmarts.org) has a left menu but I am willing to move this menu into a header file and ditch the laeft background.

Where can I go in and adjust the overall width of the Forum table? I checked in the style.css file but could not find it?

I also notice the button files are missing would I have to download a button set from somewhere else?

Thanks everyone.

the button set comes with it? If your talking about the menu at the top, it doesn't use the buttons so it is easy to add buttons for mods.
It shouldn't give you a bad warning for putting something under the body tag.
Make sure it is inside an echo.
