Is there any difference in consuming MYSQL database space in between SMF 1.1.13 and SMF 2 Rc versions????

Because,my free host provided MYSQL space of 50MB which got completed.....


Please Help me....

I would suggest it is time to look for a new host. There really isn't that much difference in the db between 1.1.x and 2.0 in relation to size. 2.0 has more tables than 1.1.x but the fresh install difference between the two is negligible.  What takes up the most space is the smf_messages table which holds all your posts, and the smf_personal_messages table.  If your members PM a lot and save their messages, that table can grow quite large itself, but not as large as your posts will. 
A forum with any amount of activity will outgrow a 50 MB database restriction fairly quickly.

I agree with busterone.  If you are up against that type of database restriction with a successful forum, it's time to think about a new host.

50mb is worthless, find a new host
