Hi - I am doing a new install of SMF. My webhost has v. 1.1.2.
As far as I can tell, 1.1.13 is the most current stable release? So, I was going to upgrade to that.
I went into "Admin" and got a message about upgrading, with a really easy to use link. (thanks!) I used the link to upgrade to 1.1.3. Then, 1.1.4. etc. All the way up to 1.1.11, which installed fine. Then, when I went to use the same link to upgrade 1.1.11 to 1.1.12, I got an error! Here is what it says:
7. Execute Modification ./Sources/Subs-Package.php Test failed
I have tried this several times. Even closed everthing and came back. Even started over. Each time, same error.
What do I do now?
do you have any mods installed? if so you could try uninstalling them temporary and then install the patch and reinstall the mods. otherwise you will need to manually edit that file to complete the upgrade. Manual Installation of Mods (http://docs.simplemachines.org/index.php?topic=402.0)
Could you expound on that further please? Do themes constitute as mods? I am experiencing the same failure at 1.1.11 to 1.1.12 at the subs-package level. (We are using Dilbert Multicolor.)
I am confused for we are running 1.1.11 but when i click on "this patch (click here to install)" the title of the error checking says this, "Installations actions for "SMF 1.0.20 / 1.1.12 Update":"
and does it say anything else? no a theme does not qualify as a mod. also please open a separate thread as this one belongs to someone else.
