All emails sent by the forum come from -

Admin -> Server Settings -> Webmaster Email Address

This is true if you don't set in "server parameters"->"option configuration"->"smtp mail" another mail account and I can't chose the "alias" to send mail from there. Thanks

I've never used the SMTP mail option, but you may be able to set up a forward on your mail account with a different address, and have the board send mail from that address.  I use [email protected] for most things, but it's not a mail account, just a forward.  My primary email address is a different name at another domain.

I already set an alias in the mail client but it works only if I send mail from the client

Not the same thing.  A mail forward is handled by the mail server, not your mail client.  Don't know enough about the SMTP mail option to be much help, but you may want to ask your host support.

As far as I know, with the PHP e-mail option, you can usually use what ever address you wish ( like [email protected] ) but SMTP is a bit limited, since it will be using the settings of the SMTP account you connect to.
