Hi guys, I really, really need your help. First time site upgrader, and as far as I can tell I did everything right, used the update function, but even though that worked and the forum has been upgraded to the recent SMF version, problems have occurred.
Forum index is fine, as is the admin panel and, as far as I can see, everything else. The problems seem to be confined to a few weird anomalies, pictured below.
Please help!
are you using a theme that is compatible with the version you upgrade to? if not that could be part of the problem. does it look ok in the default theme or just the custom theme?
Thanks for your reply.
The theme shown is the one I was using with the previous version, which was like, 2/3 years old. I did think that was the issue, but I reverted to the default theme and, if anything, it's even worse.
I can post some screenshots of that too if it would help.
try uploading a clean set of files from the default theme to your server and see if that helps any.
It's definitely better than it was - the only issue now is the position of the main post text.
For some reason a few of the files failed to transfer on my FTP client.
how does it look in the default theme? you may need to check if a another file needs to be uploaded again.
Worse!
is this a 1.1.* install or a 2.0 RC5 install? looks like a path in the admin panel may be incorrect. hard to be sure without a link to your forum to check it out for myself.
The latter.

can you try opening your forum up in another browser and see if that helps? it looks fine here, i think your browser is caching some parts of your site.
Ah, it appears so.
There is a problem with the member profiles, though.
Shouldn't be white.

guests can not view profiles so i would not be able to help with that issue.
The header text is the same colour as the background.
that looks like you highlighted it with your mouse, best i can offer is to contact the author of the theme for help.
That's 'cos the text is invisible if I don't highlight it! ;D
An odd thing (on Google Chrome): When I'm not logged in, the text is centered, when I am, it veers to the right.
And yes, I've cleared my cache. :-\
I've $^%$&* up, haven't I?
then it must be a theme issue. the author is the best to contact in cases like this.
OK, thanks man.
I'm just gonna go ahead and remove the old theme. I was thinking about a change anyway.
Thanks again. 8)
