Otsikko: Some posts cause post to be extremely wide
Kirjoitti: tdennis - toukokuu 17, 2011, 02:12:52 IP
Not sure what is causing this but some of my forum members are reporting that on certain posts the screen width goes extremely wide. On the last couple of reports it appears that it may be caused by someone using a hyper link that shows up as two or three lines on my screen (but each line is normal length and not off the screen). Checked it using my wife's PC and it looked normal width on  hers as well. But one some monitors the width is waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay! too long and off the screen.

Here is a link to the most recent post that causes the problem.

What is causing this and how is it corrected?

May be a browser-specific problem.  Looks fine in IE8 and FF3.5.

That topic looked fine to me in IE8, FF 3.6.13, and Chrome 11.0.696.68 as well.

It looks good to me on FF 3.5 and IE 8 on my widescreen hp monitor. Also on Wife's Dell with same browser's. Yet others say the screen is stretched way off screen. Oh well he will have to live with it.

If you wish to look in to this further, please ask your users to provide specifics on what browser and OS, and a screenshot of the problem as it might help to find out the cause and allow us to replicate it :)
