Hi,
I have created my first forum on SMF with an actual hosting and domain name and was wondering if someone could help me with setting up my forum banner and changing the color of the text for the tabs (home, help, admin, etc.) and for the actual forum font (the font that appears in your actual forum posts.) I have chosen to use the YaBB SE theme as a structure for my forum and in the next few weeks modify and redesign it to a much more aestheticly pleasing forum theme. Even though I have a basic understanding in HTML and CSS the layout for the style.css and index.template.php are, for the most part, completely foreign to me. Haha :) So I was hoping to find some help in this community and hopefully learn a few things about SMF Forum design in the process.

And this is the custom banner that I have made:

Also did you need me to post the style.css and and index.template.php?
Thanks in advance!
yes please post your two files and we will give you a guide on what to do :)
Hi,
You can just mark the text, right-click and click on "show selected source code" in the mouse menue. In the source code you can see some tag with class or id.
Like this:
<p class="whatever">This is text in the wrong color.</p>
or this:
<p id="whatever">This is text in the wrong color.</p>
Now you open your style.css and do a file search for "whatever" (without quotes). You will see something like:
.whatever {color:#fff;}
Now you change the "fff" for whatever color you like.
