i have this error with VB 4.1.x SMF 2.0.RC5

Sorry, the database connection information used in the specified installation of SMF cannot access the installation of vBulletin 4.0. This may either mean that the installation doesn't exist, or that the Database account used does not have permissions to access it.

The error that was received from the Database was: SELECT command denied to user 'xxxxx_smfdeep'@'localhost' for table 'user'

well, SMF user must be added to vBulletin database too...

login your Panel (cPanel eg.) go your database manage place (mySQL Databases), select SMF user and vB database and add SMF user with all rights.
