I keep receiving this email:
"There has been a problem with the database!
This is a notice email to let you know that SMF could not connect to the database,
contact your host if this continues."
And I've gone through the website and had my host go through and neither of us can find the connection problem. I have version 1.1.13 of SMF Forum.
Must of been a temporarily issue with your host. Means SMF couldn't connect to the MYSQL database at a given time.
Transient errors like that are not uncommon, especially on a shared server. They usually only last for a few seconds. IIRC, there's an admin option to disable the email notification.
In 1.1.13 - Admin -> Server Settings -> Core Configuration -> Send emails on MySQL connection error
If you only get one e-mail like that, just ignore it. If it happens alot, then you most probably have an issue with your server that might need to be looked at.
