i wondering how can i make every board with a diffrent color?
i would be greatful for help thanks!!
Could you be a little bit more specific? Do you mean your board index (where all boards are listed) or the posts/topics in each board?

Should have asked this too...which version of SMF? Mind providing a link to your site too? I'm assuming you want the link text for the board name to be a different color or possibly something else?

i am using smf rc3 , i dont think you need a link to the site as i am using the default theme and yes i want the link text for the board name to be a different color
OK...this might work. In Themes/default/BoardIndex.php, you should find a line like this:
<td class="info">
<a class="subject" href="', $board['href'], '" name="b', $board['id'], '">', $board['name'], '</a>';
You can see that a name is getting defined. You could also make a class or an id out of that (id is likely just fine), so something like this:
<td class="info">
<a class="subject" href="', $board['href'], '" id="b', $board['id'], '" name="b', $board['id'], '">', $board['name'], '</a>';
Then in Themes/default/css/index.css, you could add CSS definitions for each ID. You'll need to do the above or inspect each link to find the name or id if you do the above. The board we are currently posting in is b34, so you would need to define that something like this:
a#b34 {color:#000;}Changing #000 to the color of your choice. Rinse and repeat for each b# you have. With any luck, you have all of your boards figured out as if you add any, you'll have to edit the index.css if you want a different color for the new board.
hi
i have a quastion how do i know the board name , as you found "b34"?
btw thanx for taking time to help me
I use Firefox/Firebug and right-click link, do Inspect Element. You'll see it in there. Otherwise, View Source and hunt through that. You can also go through Admin > Modify Boards. On that page you'll see "modify" links there. Hover over those and you'll see boardid=#. Use that number and don't forget to add a b in front of it.
:)
