Is there anyway to set the forum up to display the new post once a member post it, rather than just the thread index heading.
Display the new post where?
Do you mean that, when you post, you want to be taken to that post, rather than back to the index?
If so, check Profile>Look and Layout Preferences>Return to topics after posting by default.
