Otsikko: ssi showPoll() only showing poll results on main webpage
Kirjoitti: xphen0m - kesäkuu 06, 2011, 05:01:20 IP
Hello,

I have encountered this little issue while coding my new website design. Everything related to SMF's SSI works the way I want it to....except for showPoll. I'm using the following simple code:

<?php ssi_showPoll(11.0); ?>

The test page is HERE:

http://www.swcwrestling.net/proto.php

The problem is that code shows only the results whether I'm logged in or not. I would like to be able to give registered users the chance to vote outside the forum (by me using SSI). I'm also wanting guests to see a login area in place of the poll. Any help with this is greatly appreciated.

Update:

Okay, very strange. I had planned all along to put the poll in a php file that would be included into all of the site's pages.  When I did that, it suddenly decided to work in IE9, but Firefox still displays just the results whether i'm looged in or not. Now, another problem: Votes aren't being counted. But I think I've seen that thread somewhere on this forum, so I'll take a look there and see if that solves it.

why 11.0?   just use 11

Do you have subdomain independent cookies turned ON in your smf admin?
I don't think guests can vote in polls....   so, are you certain that you are logged in?
