For me the same, I was trying to fix it, but the updateMemberData() of the "liked"(smf_members table) value don't works correctly.
The error I think is located on the 106 line of the "$sourcedir/Likes.php":
updateMemberData($author, array('liked' => '+'));
It's the code for add one more to the total value of "Likes" to the autor profile.

I tried to fix it, but for me.. it's impossible =(

I installed it on my board but only Admins can see it.  The regular members don't seem to have access to it.  Is there a reason for that?

I have a couple of questions:

1) Can this mod enable "likes" for a specified board to apply to existing topics in it?
For example, a board has 100 topics in it.  I'd like to add/enable "like" buttons to all of them at once.

2) Can this mod disable or lock likes as above?
For example, I'd like to enable likes for two weeks and then disable them and publish the results.

3) Can this mod hide the count of likes until they are disabled as above? (similar to showing the results of polls only after they close).

Yes, your own likes system but only the pro version works for everypost, and it doesn't work with 1.1.15

No, as I said if enough people is interested and willing to pat development I'd create a 1.1.X version of the PRO version

Likes Pro has been fully upgraded to 2.0.2, Lite should work with emulate version but I haven't tested.

This is great news!  I'm just not sure how to install it because when I tried the manual parse, it said it wasn't compatible.  How can I install it on my forum?

I looked at your website for the pro version, and it still says 2.0.1, so I didn't want to buy it without knowing for sure it's upgraded to 2.0.2.

Just installed the lastest version and loving it....

I have a black background on my Forum and i want to change the Image of the total likes in a post to a grey background, the white makes it stand out a lot.

Is there a way to be able to do this? is it just a PNG file i can change it in Photoshop?

I assume the major difference between the two (in terms of what I would care about) are that

*with lite they can only like the first post, with pro they can like any post


The only other important feature that I would care about is that one can see who liked the post (name wise) and that according to your images can be done in lite.


Since you have likes can be enabled per board, I take that to mean by default in lite, they are auto part of every board and pro just merely gives you the option to turn it off in certain boards right? No biggie there I would want it on all boards.



Since I would not really care if I had most of the additional features, how much would you charge me if all I wanted was Lite plus the ability for them to like all posts not just the first one with ajax integration on both the actual like and being able to see who liked it?

What to do to make this a 'block' at portal with top 5 most 'liked' persons..

Anyway to get this mod updated to work with smf 2.0.2?

In all honesty, though, the data structure that is related is publicly visible (since the likes lite mod is publicly visible). Personally I'd see no need to ask for permission (even if it were one of my works that were being integrated with) for integrating with that. Integrating with the paid mod is a different kettle of fish, though (and should be constrained to the private board where paying customers can see it)

You're missing the point. If he can't post it publicly because he's waiting for permission, he won't be able to share it privately either without waiting for the same permission...

I will share the edits.  But first, I need to ask NIBOGO's permission to share the edit, out of respect.  And ask him if it would even be compatible with Likes Lite version of the MOD.

If it were any other MOD I wouldn't mind.  But this is a free version to a Paid MOD.  And I know NIBOGO doesn't handle much support for free versions to his paid MOds.  That i respect, and will continue to do so ;)

Though if you ever decide to upgrade to Likes PRO, I've posted the edits there in the customer board, already, while awaiting a response.

How To Create the Block

Now after you made the edits, when making a "New Block"  use the Block Option "Top Member Stats".  You'll now see the option to select Likes at the bottom of the drop down list of options.  Select the number of Top Liked members you'd like displayed (5), and rename the Block Title.

Well done, you've pointed out the same thing. You can only like the first post - i.e. the entire topic.

You obviously didnt read my comment either... I can accept everything else being payware. But i can feed you with a spoon though, I want to like every post thats posted, not only first post (topic)

Which is why you have to get the paid version. The free version doesn't do that. That's the point - you only get a free crippled version.

Yes therefore uninstall, and im not supporting it since they cripple it so much.

Things like this do take time to make and test and if the free version had that feature, no-one would buy the pro version.

I dont really care either. We have a good like addon allready but wanted bigger button for the post and more modernized.

In SMFPacks_Lite_Likes_Mod.zip open package-info.xml with Wordpad/notepad etc. 

Find <install for="2.0 RC4, 2.0 RC5, 2.0">

Replace with  <install for="2.0 RC4, 2.0 RC5, 2.0, 2, 2.0.4">

and find <uninstall for="2.0 RC4, 2.0 RC5, 2.0">

replace with <uninstall for="2.0 RC4, 2.0 RC5, 2.0, 2.0.4">

Save and zip the file again :)

Some of the features only work on the pro mod which has to be paid for. I'm not exactly sure what you want. The like button like the attachment?

i was able to get it to install despite the errors.  it turns out the errors were mostly from other nonused themes.

does the lite version support the displaying of user likes in the post?  when i like a post i don't see it like in this photo: http://custom.simplemachines.org/mods/index.php?action=download;mod=3029;id=192336;image

ive went through all the settings and all of them work correctly so perhaps this isn't a feature in the free lite version?

The package you are trying to download or install is either corrupt or not compatible with this version of SMF.

Because you are not setting the right version to emulate.

Set it to 2.0 then save. When the page reloads you will see the install button ;)

Because the lite version has limitations, that feature is exclusive of the pro version.
