We get heaps of non techie types who don't know how to register ... Anyone have any suggestions to solve this?
Thanks

They find it too "techie" to click "Register"?
How odd.
That question doesn't fit with the topic title, either.
Or, am I missing something, here?
I was thinking there might be some theme that simpified things down ..... maybe I put too much stress on registering. The simplicity of vanilla forum is what I'm after. Thanks for any suggestions.
If you're interested, I have a load of SMF themes, which are exactly the same as the default, except for the colours.
All mods install, with no edits.
If we can figure-out where to put them, so you can download them, you're welcome to have them all.
When I first started using SMF (1.1.11), I thought the core theme was very cluttered and complicated for inexperienced users, and did some extensive modding to remove a lot of the extraneous widgets and duplicated/triplicated functions. Most, if not all, of that code will work in .13. I can set it up on a .13 install if you'd like to see it. The .1x core themes are pretty easy to mod, since the basic formatting is <table> based.

What exactly about the registration is too hard for them? Without knowing what they find difficult, it is hard to suggest anything better.
