Hi guys:
I'm trying to migrate to SMF 2.0 from SMF 1.1.4, the main problem that I´m experiencing is the following:
I´ve tried to use the large upgrade installer, but it didn´t worked. The initial screen is a mess, and it says: missing index, or something like that. So that solution didn´t worked for me.
I´ve done a complete new installation of the forum in a different folder. It was a success, but when I tried to open the old database from this new installation I got an error: Unknown column 'a.attachment_type' in 'field list'
So, I know that if I do a complete restore of my old database it won´t work.
This is the full list of tables contained in my old smf forum:

(I think that is not necessary to include the full list of tables of the new smf 2.0 installation)
So, I´m trying to figure out what to do, as I haven´t ideas right now, I would like to ask the member forums, what can I do in order to migrate properly the old database to the new forum.
Many thanks in advance!
Guillermo.
Day 2:
I have done a complete and fresh copy of my forum in a new folder, so I´ve downloaded webinstall.php.
It doesn´t work for me:

then use the normal methods to upgrade Upgrading SMF (http://wiki.simplemachines.org/smf/Upgrading)
illori:
Many thanks for your answer but I didn´t worked. I got the forum form other admins, and it seems that during the past years, they have done several updates incorrectly.
What I did:
I did a mirror copy in other directory. I installed a fresh copy of smf 1.1.14 using an empty database.
After that, I switched the database to my old one.
Then, I followed the large update procedure to smf 2.0
It worked perfectly
(Of course I worked deleting additional folders that I´ve created, etc. But you can consider this a critical situation where all the default procedures failed. There is no tool that works for this cases. The main root of the problem: missing, or older files among the updated ones).
Many thanks for all your support.
Sincerely,
Guillermo
then you should delete the old files and upload the new again
