Hey all, love the simple machines software. I have an older version and am getting some serious spam lately, that may be why-its not updated. It was great up until a few weeks ago. How do I upgrade SMF 1.1.11 to the new 2.0 version? It doesn't give me an update button in my admin panel. Thanks!
Also, I'm using the dark pearl design by wannabedie if that matters for upgrading
you will need to do a full backup then download the large upgrade package and override your existing files Upgrading SMF (http://wiki.simplemachines.org/smf/Upgrading)
Thanks, how can I keep my dark pearl theme? It says it will delete it if I use the large upgrade. I have custom images etc. with that theme.
Also that theme says its compatible with 1.1.10, think I can use it with the updated 2.0?

If that theme isnt compatible with 2.0 you cant use it on your upgraded forum. Maybe to search for some alternative on Themes site?

wow I got this working, still had my old theme up and it was all screwd, but I switched it to the default and I'm going to go from there. Still had all my data ok.
