Hello I upgraded to 2.0 via the large update and completed the upgrade.php but the forum is now really screwed up.
No admin login, several icons missing. Wondering what could have gone wrong.

I have the same issue at thepaperpassion.com/forum
any help would be greatly appreciated.

billybandit - Please make sure that you have all files from large upgrade uploaded to your server. Can you please confirm that you have it? Also, can you please change Theme to default and see if that have the same issues? Dont know about your theme, but is it compatible with 2.0 version?
Also i can see that you have some language issues there, so i guess that something isnt uploaded like it should be (Themes/default/languages), so at first make sure that you have all files from large upgrade uploaded and then we will see what to do next.
treasuredpages - Everything looks fine on your forum to me. Can you please clear cache on your browser and confirm that problem is still there?

Thank you Dzonny, I after reading several post do have a few questions.
I am not sure if my theme is 2.0 ready but can't access the admin forum to change back to the original theme, wondering if you have any idea how I can accomplish that.
Also prior to reading the above sticky I did upgrade and ftp files to server using fillezilla, wonder if that had an affect.
So I think all the files were uploaded but wonder if I ran into a filezilla issue.

Thanks for looking :) I think I had it on the default theme when you checked...can you please take a look now - I switched it back to the Classic YaBB SE theme I was using, then you can see the problems with the top links being missing etc. If all else fails I suppose I can redo the customization onto another theme - but would prefer not to have to ;)

Billybandit - I got to my admin by adding this to the end of my domain name:
/index.php?theme=1
Its clear that you both have the same problem.
What i can see is that that your themes isnt for smf 2.0 so you should try to fint one that suits for that version at Themes section for the start.
billybandit - as suggested, just add ?theme=1 to your forum url and it will change theme to default.
It can be that filezilla missed something, but lets see if default theme works fine for start. Also i must ask have you overwrite all files when uploading via filezilla?
treasuredpages - As i said, that theme is not built for 2.0 version, so that is the problem. As all your mods are now uninstalled you can install some other theme and start over with installing mods.

That was it, so far atleast seems like I simple didn't have a 2.0 theme.

Sorry to re-open...
ok, I re-customized the default theme and most it is working, but from time to time when you go directly to: thepaperpassion.com/forum it jumps back to the old Classic theme (with no links to the admin or to log in, etc.) When I force it to go to the new theme by going to thepaperpassion.com/forum/index.php?theme=1 that works.
Customers are having trouble as it keeps jumping back to the old theme when you go away and go back there. When I renamed the old theme's folder so that it would not be there, it showed the forum with the stylesheet missing :(
I did clear cache and cookies, but still does it to me and many other customers trying to log on...
any ideas?

Admin panel > Themes and Layout, please try to reset the forum to default theme for everyone, or, even, if you want, uninstall the old theme from there.
