I been wondering.. is there any way to make it possible to create a field where the users can input a text that will be or stored or sent to the administrators of the board when a new user registers?
I have a gaming forum and it will be easier to the administration of new members know in which server they play, so... they should input, when register, something like: "Server A" or stuff like that.. or it will compromise the security of the board?
The idea is that the "server box" have a limited characters quantity... ideas?
Maybe they can edit their signature at register, but that can also be a way to spam in the server, so, I'm opened to suggestions...

If this helps, the version of the board is 1.1.14
It's not that easy to do with 1.1, but you can do this quite easily with the built-in custom profile fields feature in 2.0 (display it on registration, prevent anyone but the admins from seeing it, limit how many characters they can input, etc.)
