Hello, i use smf since 2004 but basically i'm new with theme customizations. I'm trying to do some small changes to Core for 2.0 gold (buttons, logo, etc), btw my main problem is when i try to add a logo on the top left

i would need catbg.jpg (the red gradient on top) as background of all the logo, while i have only a part of this.
How could i do, to have catbg.jpg on all the area? i tried to search in index.css but without success.

index.css in attachment, btw i did not make changes to this for the moment.

sorry maybe you need the index.template too (this is trhe index.template for core on  2.0, no changes made)

ahh, and the logo/banner is 454x158

The site is on a temporary link, i'll move in the next days my website from 1.1.4 to 2.0 gold and i'm doing for the moment some live tests for the new site.

Maybe the problem is in my englsh, sorry. What i'm asking is to have the gradient "catbg.jpg" on al the area of the logo, and not half bordeaux gradient, half celeste colour as now

Thanks Antechinus, but i can't see the main_block.png in the image folders of Core theme, i can find it only in the /images/theme/ folder of the default (curve) theme. If i change the file there it will affect the Core theme too (which i'm using)?

Ah, sorry. In that case the change suggested by CyberAlien should work. I would suggest clearing your browser cache and reloading the page. CSS files are cached. ;)

i cleared the cache and also tried with another pc but i keep to see that celeste colour, i don't know where this is set :/

i deleted it and nothing changed :(

Ok sorry to both ..i discovered that
background: url(../images/catbg.jpg) #88A6C0 repeat-x;

is showed 2 times in the index.css, and i was modifying the other one...ouch._.

Bother. It shouldn't be there twice. We have some redundant css in Core by the look of it.
