Greetings:
I am running an SMF 1.1.14 installation. It's up to date/current.
On or about 6/17/2011 I began receiving the following daemons sent to my admin e-mail address. Not the odd characters in the e-mail addresses the forum software is attempting to reach.
Any explanation? My users are no longer receiving their topic notifications and they're frustrated. My host looked at the errors and would only tell me that the problem stems from a script running in my SMF installation.
Thanks!

Hi. This is the qmail-send program at 208.**.***.***.
I'm afraid I wasn't able to deliver your message to the following addresses.
This is a permanent error; I've given up. Sorry it didn't work out.

Sorry, no mailbox here by that name. (#5.1.1)

So, over 50 thread views and none with a single idea? OK.
Let me add a thought or two.
I turned off notifications site-wide. I removed all add-on themes; the site is restricted to SMF Core for layout.
Where, in the normal notification process, is located the actual line(s) of code that stipulates the e-mail address(es) to which the forumware will forward notification? Is this called from a template in the directory of my SMF installation, or is said data contained in a table in my db?
I'd really like to resolve this matter ASAP. Thanks for any input.
Look for a member with that email address/domain name in your members listing
I hate to sound like an asshole, but please assume I know a thing or two about a thing or two. This isn't my first forum installation and I should perhaps have mentioned that, initially.
So, as clarification: no user e-mail should point to mail5.****.com as that is my personal mail-server. A check of the two users whos topic-notification requests seem to be triggering the errors indicates neither containing reference to my mail-server.

Again; when the forumware initiates a notification e-mail, from which template/script/php verbatim does it do this? I would like to know.
Thanks.
