I was wondering if its possible to delete all the posts from a user banned by me on the forum,sometimes spammer comes and create new topics randomly like 40-50 times and its time consuming deleting all separately is there any way if we ban the member or before doing that we can delete all the posts/topics by the spammer
Thanks
Regards
find their profile click delete account, select the post/thread option to remove the posts and click delete
If I delete the account,would it be possible for them to sign up again or should I do that after ban
either way most likely they can register again if they try hard enough.
Thanks Illori
First I ban the user and then deleting the member but sometimes I think they are coming again dont know how?As when I ban them it says ban name already exists
why do you think they are coming back?
To speed up banning on deleting accounts I made this mod
http://custom.simplemachines.org/mods/index.php?mod=2427
I use it on my sites helps reduces workload removing spammers.
whenever I ban someone it gets added to banlist by the username,few usernames seem to get repeated in 2 or 3 days time just noticed that in last two days,even while adding them to ban list it says that ban name already exists
@vbgamer
will use it now,have seen many mods by you in mod list whenever I search for something

One of things that I have done to "ban" users is to take their IP address, find out where they are originating from, and restrict access from that entire networks address range... For example, if they are coming from 117.34.5.6 I use this number at (PM me for the url for the tools that I use) to find out the range of addresses for their ISP. In this case, they are from China, see (PM me for the url for the tools that I use in this example) Their ISP's network range is 117.0.0.0 - 117.255.255.255 So, I ban the range of 117.*.*.* and this takes care of anyone coming from that address range, keep in mind this will ban 16777216 potential customers. If they originate in the US, I choose to ban only that IP address; if I notice there are several attempts from different IP addresses on that same ISP's network, I can then opt to ban that entire range. (I figure that if they are not from a country that needs the information on my site then they should not be on my site. I.E., China, Lithuania, Ethiopia, Romania, etc, etc...I realize that this is somewhat biased and prevents persons from offshore hitting my site but that is their issue and not mine.
I hope that this helps. if you have any questions feel free to PM me and we'll take it from there....good luck to you!
