Otsikko: Recipients Form(To: and BCC: ) Limit
Kirjoitti: loki8 - heinäkuu 08, 2011, 02:16:02 IP
Hi all,

I am trying to send a Newsletter via PM within my Admin Panel on SMF 1.1.11

My forum has 12000+ (it's actually 12000 forgot a 0) members but a problem occurs when I try to send it via PM.

I create a new Newsletter and it goes to the New PM screen.

The problem is the Bcc:  form only has 4779 of the members. I am thinking that there is a limit on the form or something OR there is a limit on how many members I can send a PM at once.

How can I remove that limit ?

Thanks

Does anyone know anything about this?

I'm guessing the limit is with passing all the users to that field. As I have managed to send out an email to 50,000 users from SMF 1.1.11 before.

Is anything else showing in the logs?

Hmm, I am not talking about a Mass Email. It works fine there and all emails are included on the send field.

I am talking about a Mass PM. After click "Newsletters" , you tick the "Send this to these groups using personal messages." option.

EDIT : Ok, really weird. I was using Google Chrome when having this issue. Tried it with Firefox and it worked! All usernames were on that field!

It might be that Chrome has a lower limit for the _POST field or header lengths is my only guess.
