Hi,
Angus from Jasidog.com site designed a forum for my Endar.org site and the agreement was made initially to provide the theme to all the SMF community after completion. The Endar theme is now ready in a beta form as its first incarnation. Please note that this theme will only work with the 1.1 RC2 version at this time. I have attached a copy of the main zip file to this post.
A demo forum using the theme can be seen at
this location (http://smf.jasidog.com/index.php?action=forum;theme=3)
Angus has kindly offered to provide support for the theme if you post on his forum for any questions at http://jasidog.com/forums/index.php?showforum=11
You can also see the PSD files for header and footer with the characters removed at the downloads post at http://jasidog.com/smf/104/endar
I have not included images here of the theme as you would be able to see all areas via the demo other than the admin section. If someone would really like some sample images on this post, I could add small ones of course :)
We appreciate any feedback on bugs. You can post here, email me at
[email protected] address, or post on Angus' forum for anything related to bugs or the theme.
Thanks and I hope people like it. :)
Edit: Updated upload to have the new version for 1.1 RC2
Very nice theme :).
-Dan The Man
Wow. Looks really nice! :)
Very nice, Miraenda. Original :)
Very elegant theme! Excellent graphics and colors. :)
I am really amazed by this very very nice and original theme. It was so different that I thought I was not on my own forum for a few seconds.
Really very stylish and bright ideas inside !!! Congrats.
Great theme, I guess that its the best RPG theme avaliable, loved the graphics that were used ;)
Excellent!! Miraenda. It is a great calm theme. :D
wow, beautiful theme .. I like it :D
Really nice theme!
Thanks for the kind comments folks :)
I'd just like to point out I'm very happy to support the theme over here, the reason for the mention of support at my own forum is simply because I respond faster there as it's where all my main support is done. :)
Looks very beautiful and original! :o
Wow thats nice ;)
Good theme Angus :D
Excellent.
That has to be one of the most balanced themes I have seen yet. Very easy on the eye, good colour contracts and perfect blending :)
It is very special,and I like it!
i like this theme good job.
I love it. Hurry up with this one!
-Jazhawk
It is available Jazhawk. Provided you're running 1.1 beta 3 Public. :)
We're calling it a beta until we hear if there's a lot of bugs to fix or not. So far there's not been any bug reports but I've found one myself and I'm sure there's likely more.
Come the next beta or release candidate of SMF any bug fixes and updating that needs to be done will and we'll call it 1.0. :)
Thanks for the nice comments folks and thanks to Miraenda for deciding to let people download it. :)

Lmao :D I'm not sure I've ever seen such an honour bestowed on anything. A walrus! 8) Not only that a walrus in a hat.
I'd say that give it a certain style your average walrus just doesn't have. :D Cheers!
Thanx for the link up Dan!

Thanks a lot guys, I'm glad you all like it. I'm happy Angus is fine with it being released to the community as well since I think his themes are fantastic :D
I got a question... Total Members & Latest Member thingie is not working on my forum for this template. These features are working with my other templates... I don't know what's the problem, anyone can help? :( here's my forum http://x.banana-croc.net
Hi Katziex! :)
To be honest I don't know why that is. However I'm just going to have a look and see if i can find out why it might be. I'll get back to you as soon as I can. :)
Ah ok I think I know why. :)
This theme, it was built for SMF 1.1 beta3 public. You're running 1.0.5 Katziex, the current stable release. I think that must be the reason.
I don't know but I'd guess there must be a way to make it work in 1.0.5. I'll take a little look some time later today for you. :)
Probably the variable $modSettings['totalMembers'] , which in 1.0.5 is called $modSettings['memberCount'] instead. :)
Hi again, Installed 1.0.5 and then the Endar theme to try and see if it could be fixed.
Oddly though, the stats show up for me in my 1.0.5 install and the code looks similar enough to 1.1 beta3 that it should show up I think.
So in short, I don't know why it isn't showing for you Katziex, sorry. I'll try and get another look at it tonight for you though when I have more time. :)
Edit
Thanks Bloc! :) I'll make up a file with that change Katziex can try and use. Thing is, the block that contains the info, it shows up for me in 1.0.5. ::)
Double edit
It shows up on Katziex's board too, I'm not thinking clearly. :D That's good then I can post a fix. Thanks Bloc! You're a star!
I looked at some of your themes to see how things were done in SMF by the way so a double thanks. :)
Here we go Katziex.
Sorry it took so long I'm not too clever, for some reason I thought the whole stats block wasn't showing. :D
If you download the attached file and then extract it from the zip. Then upload the "boardIndex.template.php" file to -
your-SMF-install/Themes/Endar-Beta1/Replacing the original file.
That should make the stats work, however I should warn you that because Endar wasn't designed for SMF 1.0.5 it is highly likely it will have other such problems.
Quote from: Bloc on August 09, 2005, 10:26:46 AM

Yes that was right Bloc. :) But also anything with "$context['common_stats']" which was a new addition in beta 3 I think? I fear that probably appears in other places apart from the stats block so I don't really think folks should be running this theme on anything but beta 3.
Yes, there those too...and they exist in Boardindex (the info center), Stats ( naturally) and Index.templates (the statsbox). So if you have modified those templates, you need to change those...but also, there are other things, like javascript routines for password hashing, fetching of thumbails etc. in several templates, so it would be better to really go over for 1.0.5. Not so cheerful task, but using a good compare program helps a lot.
I do it the other way around though..develop for 1.0.5 and then update for 1.1. Unless its a theme specifically for 1.1. :)
Well, I don't really have any intention of back porting it to 1.0.5. It's just that Katziex was already using it on that. So I thought I should try help.
Miraenda wanted Endar made for 1.1, I guess so that it wouldn't have any problems when 1.1 hits gold. Which is fine by me as 1.1 already seems very stable.
It started life on beta 1 and there were numerous changes that had to be made even between that and Beta 3 Public. So I hate to think how much work would need to be done to make it 1.0.5 compatible.
I'm not the most energetic person so it will remain for 1.1. :D
there is no reason to "Downdate" the skin just for the people running 1.0.5. This skin is worth updating to 1.1 for anyway.
Wow. Beautiful theme! Thanks for sharing it with us :)
Yeah great theme, very pretty and cool!
All your themes are great! No matter what platform, your always making great themes! Well done.

-Dan The Man
Personally, I didn't want the theme made for 1.0.5 as my site isn't going to be using 1.0.5 but 1.1 when I finally get it transferred from Simple Board...so there wasn't a point to have it available for 2 lines (1.0 and 1.1) when the site it was created for wouldn't be using 1.0 series heh
This is also why the title says 1.1 Beta 3 Public. :)
Wow! BEAUTIFUL theme! Too bad it only works with the beta version, right? :-[ :'(
Ah well, Cest la vie. Fantastic work, though!
very nice theme

Thanks Dan, I do realise that, they changed considerably with each beta so far. The theme will be updated to keep up on the way to 1.1 final though. Changes yet to come were one of the reasons the admin panel HTML was left untouched. Oh and laziness. :D
Thanks for the compliments folks. :)

What changes would you make to the admin template files? I've never seen a mod with it's admin files modified :-\.
-Dan The Man
I looked at a few other SMF themes and I think (If i remember rightly.) Bloc's simplicity has a custom layout in the admin section.
In any case it would be to try and smooth out some of the style inconsistencies. The none admin parts are all rewritten to use a certain structure (Largely table free.).
As an example if you look at the profile navigation column, that's a styled list, the same could be done to the admin navigation column and that would provide a consistent feel and look.
As I said though, 1.1 being still in beta was only one reason it wasn't done. In my opinion it isn't that prudent anyway and is a lot of work, so I might never do it. I prefer that an admin panel have a style that never changes.
However SMF's template system doesn't work like that. Change the style and you change the look of the admin panel.
That being said I'm new to SMF there may be ways of making the admin panel stay using the default template.
What I do know is that some of the template files have admin and non-admin display code in them both. When it would be easier for updating if the admin code was all in seperate files.
Anyway, we can get a working version for 1.05?
I'm afraid not Trenchteam. Sorry.
I mean it's possible, but a lot of work to backport it. I just got through updateing it for Beta 4 which was quite a bit of work in it's self. Not sure if I'll release that though as Beta 4 isn't public.
no problem. I just updated to 1.1 because of your theme. I want to totally change the color scheme, but Its fantastic! thanks again! ;D

Well, I've run into my first problem. I would like to add google ad sense on my site. I generate a goog amount monthy on the site, and it really helps w/ the cost of maintenence etc.. Its a must have for me! Anyway, I wanted to add it where it has the forum name right below the news section. When I add googleads, it breaks the site totally. The template is totally wack. Any ideas how to implement a 468 by 60 banner there?
Right now Im using this.
// The main content should go here. A table is used because IE 6 just can't handle a div.

This works great with my current theme as you notice. www.shoyoroll.com/forum
I would like to get it to work similar with your theme.
Ok try simply removing this part from the code you just posted. -
<table width="100%" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" border="0"><tr>
<td id="bodyarea" style="padding: 1ex 20px 2ex 20px;">
So what you'll have instead is this, though it won't be in the same style as Endar as it's using HTML and CSS classes from the default theme. -
// The main content should go here. A table is used because IE 6 just can't handle a div.
echo '
<div class="tborder">
<table summary="English Greek translation forum, help with French, German, Spanish, Italians language questions and terminology as well as technical help with common computer problems and translation memory tools like Trados, Deja Vu and Wordfast" border="0" width="100%" cellspacing="1" cellpadding="5" height="72">

</td>
</tr>
<tr class="windowbg2">
<td class="windowbg" width="6%" align="center" valign="middle"><img src="xxxxxxxx/forum/Themes/default/images/off.gif" border="0" /></td>
<td align="left" valign="middle">
<script type="text/javascript"><!--
google_ad_client = "xxxxxxxxxxxxx";
google_ad_width = 468;
google_ad_height = 60;
google_ad_format = "468x60_as";
google_ad_type = "text_image";
google_ad_channel ="";
google_color_border = "336699";
google_color_bg = "FFFFFF";
google_color_link = "0000FF";
google_color_url = "008000";
google_color_text = "000000";
//--></script>
<script type="text/javascript"
src="http://pagead2.googlesyndication.com/pagead/show_ads.js">
</script>
</td>
<td valign="middle" align="center" style="width: 12ex; background-color: #DFDFDF">
<p align="center"><font size="1">1 Post in<br>1 Topic</font></td>
<td align="left" width="22%">
<font size="1">Last Post on April 04, 2005,<br>12:00:00 PM<br>in <u>English dictionary</u> by <u>Google</u></font></td>
</tr>
</table>
</div>
<br />';
}
Try that I think it should be ok. :)
Edit
If you just wanted the banner and nothing else this would suffice -
<div style="margin:0 auto;width:468px;">
<script type="text/javascript"><!--
google_ad_client = "xxxxxxxxxxxxx";
google_ad_width = 468;
google_ad_height = 60;

google_ad_channel ="";
google_color_border = "336699";
google_color_bg = "FFFFFF";
google_color_link = "0000FF";
google_color_url = "008000";
google_color_text = "000000";
//--></script>
<script type="text/javascript"
src="http://pagead2.googlesyndication.com/pagead/show_ads.js">
</script>
</div><br />
If you want it to loook like a forum in the endar theme I could post some code up. :)
Yes! I would love that! I want it to look and feel like the Endar theme! ;D Can you post some code up.
I like the shades of brown, but Im planning on changing the green shades to another color. Im in the process of attempting to do that now. I really like how you customized this template. Its fantastic! ;D
Well I messed around a little and it doesn't really work that well as a fake forum. So I've made you a couple of different examples. In both you'll obviously need to add your Google client number.
This is a fake forum look, maybe would work better with a table chuked in to keep the structure nice at certain resolutions. Even so I don't think it does (Or would.) look that good. The second option will be better I think.
echo'
<div class="border">
<h3 class="title">Sponsored translation links</h3>
<div class="row1">
<div class="left" style="width:78%;">
<img src="', $settings['images_url'], '/off.gif" alt="', $txt[334], '" title="', $txt[334], '" border="0" style="float:left;margin:7px 5px 0 0;" />
<script type="text/javascript"><!--

google_ad_height = 60;
google_ad_format = "468x60_as";
google_ad_type = "text_image";

google_color_border = "AD9C82";
google_color_bg = "E2DBBF";
google_color_link = "378E59";

</div>
</div>
<div class="block-foot"><!--no content--></div>
</div>
<br />
';
This following second option in my oppinion is better -
echo'
<div class="border">
<h3 class="title">Sponsored translation links</h3>
<div class="row1">
<div style="width:468px;margin:0 auto;">
<script type="text/javascript"><!--

When I did this under the main content area, the ad was placed above the header image. Is there anyway, to go under the section with the forum title. I using the 2nd option. The first does not work too well. :)
Where is has the FORUM | SMF DEVELOPMENT | Graphics |
Right under that section have the banner ad.
Actually, if I could get the ad inside the section where it has the news, that would be nice. I'll just use the fader for the news and the news box above it for the google adsense. ;D4
UPDATE: GOT IT WORKING! :) Doesnt look right though. :(
Its nice but a bit too much brown.

Would you like me to post a file which has the box under the breadcrum navigation for you? Then all you'd need to do is replace the origonal.
Or do you still want it where the new would normally be? Does it just not look good there or is it a code issue?
Doesnt look good. can you come up with something? Even with the half banner that would be great. At long as it shows up all the time no matter how they navigate, and it blends well with the template so it doesnt look like an eyesore. I want it to be shown all the time though. I hope that makes sense. In the header somewhere would be great. I average a bit over 150 a month, and that really helps with costs of the server, etc..... ;) Got to get it seen, so I can get those clicks in! ;)
Try this attachment out it's nothing spectacular but it should do the trick I think.
Just alter it with your Google client number (Around line 400.) then replace the original file.
wow, others beat me to my own download! they must be following this topic. Thanks! I'll let you know how it turns ouT! ;D
Can, you try adding that banner to hover on top of the sword image? Like on SMF current default theme? I can see the banner up there on the right corner of the header. I think that would look much better. My users tested what you have me, and they dont like the idea of having to scroll just to see the first forum. If you cant do it, thats cool. I'll just wait it out.
I've also noticed that the quick reply doesnt work with the theme. I post, it takes me back to the top, but it doesnt leave a new post in the thread. ??? ???
Really? I certainly hadn't noticed that before. I'll get to you on that as soon as I can.
I'll also see about the googleads in the header. :)
I nearly told you it was fine (It works on my demo board for some reason, it shouldn't..) but luckily I decided to check the code and test it on my local test board.
Of course your quite right. I'm surprised this is the first real bug that's been reported.
Anyhow this attached file should fix the problem but if it doesn't let me know please. :)
The google add in the logo, I may not have time till this evening (3 o'clock here just now.) but I'll get that to you. :)

When I post using quick reply, it is working on my board. Are you certain your board is updated to 1.1 Beta 3 entirely for all your files and that no changes were made to anything to affect the quick reply area. Here is my forum url:
http://endar.org/component/option,com_smf/Itemid,44
I did a test post using Quick Reply at http://endar.org/component/option,com_smf/Itemid,44/topic,2.msg13#msg13
You can signup and test it as well if you would like.
How did you enable quick reply on your board? I set my quick reply option not in my profile but in the admin area itself using the "Themes and Layout" link under
Configuration area, then I clickied the "Reset options" link, then selecting the "Reset all member's current options for this theme" link for the Endar theme. I then selected
Change in the dropdown to the left of "Use quick reply on topic display:" and picked
show, on by default in the dropdown to the right of that, then I clicked the Save button.
There is a problem Mir, I know it seems to work in many cases, it's why I had never noticed this. As I mentioned it worked on my demo board.
But there is an error (form inside a form.) in the HTML of the display template. However the replacement file I attached in my last post should fix it. :)
Ok found some time for the Google add. :)
Firstly go into the style.css (Themes/endar-beta1/style.css or through the theme section of the admin panel.) and look for the following. Not all of it is relevant but it's a nice block to find.
/* header section */
#header {
background: #E2DBBF url(images/head-tile.gif) repeat-x top;
}
#header-right {
background: url(images/head-right.gif) no-repeat top right;
}
#logo a {
margin: 0;
padding: 0;
background: url(images/logo.gif) no-repeat left top;
display:block;
text-decoration: none;
padding: 114px 0 0 0;
overflow: hidden;
height: 0px !important;
height /**/:114px; /* for IE5/Win only */
}
And replace that with this -
/* header section */
#header {
background: #E2DBBF url(images/head-tile.gif) repeat-x top;
}
#header-right {
background: url(images/head-right.gif) no-repeat top right;
position:relative;
}
#logo a {
margin: 0;
padding: 0;
background: url(images/logo.gif) no-repeat left top;
display:block;
text-decoration: none;
width:360px;
padding: 114px 0 0 0;
overflow: hidden;
height: 0px !important;
height /**/:114px; /* for IE5/Win only */
}
#googad {
position:absolute;
width:468px;
top:35px;
right:20px;
}
Next replace the index.template.php file with this one I've attached.

There is a problem Mir, I know it seems to work in many cases, it's why I had never noticed this. As I mentioned it worked on my demo board.
But there is an error (form inside a form.) in the HTML of the display template. However the replacement file I attached in my last post should fix it. :)
Ah, your post snuck in while I was testing it on mine and I didn't even noticed you'd posted a fix lol :)
i was using this theme on another forum. Seems that when you try to select a theme, it only refreshes the page. But then i just realized while i was typing this sentance that that is caused by using this skin on a 1.0.5 forum, so ignore this whole paragrph/statement.

Jasidog, this is what it turned out to look like.
(http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y139/trenchteam2/endarerro.png)
Not sure what happened there. I tried it twice. :( But thats exactly what I wanted! If we can get it fixed. ;D
I can't be sure but at a guess I'd say some of the css change wasn't made. I'll post you a replacement CSS file Trench and see if that fixes it. :)
If it doesn't try to refresh the screen a couple of times just to make sure.
haha. that did it! Thanks Jasidog! ;D
Cool! Glad to hear it. :)

Thanks for the heads up Tippmaster! :) Well the board owner will soon get sick of the errors from running it on 1.0.5 but we'll contact him/her in any case. ;) :D

What's up with this tiny font? I can tolerate the color but the size of the font is unbelievably tiny, especially in the admin center. Can ya help a CSS deficient user out?
-Jazhawk
Sure Jazhawk. :)
And you do have a good point.
For the admin CP try this and let me know if works ok for you.
Look in the CSS for the following -
/* By default (td, body..) use Tahoma in black. */
td
{
color: #553A00;
font-family : Georgia, Verdana, Geneva, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;
}
And change it to this -
/* By default (td, body..) use Tahoma in black. */
td
{
color: #553A00;
font-family : Georgia, Verdana, Geneva, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;
font-size:12px;
}
Obviously you can change 12px to be larger. I believe that change should effect the whole admin CP. You could also change the colour there.
Beautiful. Thanx Jasidog! I've had these eyes for a while and even with glasses, I was having trouble. Much appreciated! :)
-Jazhawk
You're welcome Jazhawk. :)
I'll make that or a similar change in the next release also have a look at altering some of the other very small text, like in the news. :)
Cool. I have another question on fonts. I notice you use a serif font on this theme rather than a sans-serif style font. Does that have to do more with the flava of the overall theme or just your personal preference?
-Jazhawk
Not a preference no, though i do like it and it does happen to be used on my site currently also but that's coincidence.
Endar is for Endar.org and the site is about a fantasy story. So serif seemed to fit with that notion a bit better. :)
Angus (jasidog) kindly updated the theme to 1.1 RC1 already and I have attached this to the initial post. He had it updated before I even realized the RC had been released :D
It's a great theme....
Could you mantain the 1.0.5 one?
I am going to be in 1.0 for a long time, I think....
Um there is no 1.0.5 version I'm afriad dracomiconia. It's only for 1.1.
Sorry.
OK.... Lets work in update.....
Sorry I don't understand what you mean dracomiconia.
Just to be clear though, there never was a 1.0.5 version. It was first made for 1.1 beta 3.
I mean I'll have to work in my update to 1.1 (I have my own language files) just to can take this marvellous Theme
@jasidog
Can you do something with WarCraft for SMF RC1?
-Jazhawk
nice update jasidog. Still waiting on that other theme for SMF i saw. that one looks awesome!
Both the last couple of posts, from Trench and Jazhawk, are related sort of so this is to answer them both in one answer.
I've only got one future skin planned for SMF which is quite some way along in it's development, so there won't be anything else new for the foreseeable.
However in relation to the one in development that trench mentioned. It got sidelined by other work and then just as I started to work on it again. Three other things came up. RC1 came and both it and Endar needed changes made to be compatible.
Then Invision came out with 2.1 much earlier than I had hoped and I have people wanting the Invision skins updated. Upgrades takes priority over anything new unfortunately and is very time consuming as it's not a point to point upgrade.
So until the Invision templates are upgraded there will be nothing more on the SMF front. Which I'm not that happy about as it may take a long time. I'd rather be working on something new and the work is long and cumbersome on the Invision upgrades.

Angus has many names actually, some of those we use for him on forums and some we call him behind his back ;D
J/k heh...Angus is Angus' name on his forum, which is on his jasidog.com site, and his username here is jasidog rather than Angus. Clear as mud eh? :P
Thanx for the response Jasidog. The reason why I asked is I think you are one of the few template developers who have that "eye" for that artsy finished look. But I respect the fact you got a full plate. Good job on Endar.
-Jazhawk
Yeah and neither is my real name. Fizzy. :D Yeah I use both AngusThermopile and Jasidog on various places. Jasidog only started to get used originally because it was a lot shorter and easier to type when logging in.
Thanks for the compliment Jazhawk! :)
Jasidog is better in most cases, think about having to type: "www.angusthermopile.com" everytime you want to visit his beautiful website :P
how could I change the green colors of this template :
i have modified some bg but green lines are still here : http://henol.servehttp.com/ew_test
hey!
i use this theme for my site. but it does'nt display my font. Please intro for me way encode to UTF-8.
Thank
Hi there Fen-X. :)
You need to edit the CSS file to change that. You can either do that directly by finding the file -
your-SMF/Themes/Endar-RC1/style.css
and opening it in a text editor.
Alternatively you can log into your admin panel and from there go to -.
Configuration >> Themes & Layout >> Modify Themes >> Endar >> Style.css
Once you are able to edit the file, search for thre following -
.title, .title2 {
font-family : Georgia, Verdana, Geneva, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;
font-weight : bold;
background-repeat : repeat-x;
background-image: url(images/title.gif);
background-position: top;
margin:0;
font-size: 103%;
color: #553A00;
padding: 6px 6px 4px 6px;
border-bottom: 1px solid #A5D6B6;
background-color: #BFE2CA;
}
Where it says "background-color: #BFE2CA;" Change the value from #BFE2CA to a color that suits.
Atulaking, I'll need to have a look see I'll get back to you soon. :)
Hey Atulaking.
Ok if you open up the index.template.php file that is in the Endar theme folder. You'll find this line near the top of the page -
<meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=', $context['character_set'], '" />
So I assume it's handled by the boards language files that are being used normally. As I can't find a setting in the admin panel.
However you could try and replace that line with what you would want. I don't see why not. -
<meta http-equiv="content-type" content="text/html; charset=utf-8" />
However if it's only this skin that causes the problem then maybe it's the font used for the style? If so open the CSS and change all mentions of "Georgia" to a font of your choice or simply remove the font from the family. That is remove all instances of "Georgia,"
Thanks a lot for this fast answer :)
I know why i didnt find it, i didnt search in the right *.css..
Can i know which font isused for the buttons of the forum please ?
Hi Fen,
Georgia is the font used in all the buttons.
If you need the buttons all in French there is a download of them here >> http://jasidog.com/forums/index.php?s=&showtopic=1443&view=findpost&p=37530
If in another language I could make them up for you. :)
I should also say that the buttons with green colour in them and yellow on hover. The green and yellow can be changed via the CSS. But the buttons in the posts the small yellow ones would need new graphics for a different colour.
hey!
sorry. i try but it doesn't display font to UTF-8. This theme doesn't support Vietnamese?
Please: http://www.atulaworld.boulderhost.com/smfrc1/index.php
and please intro for me way fix this bug.
hey: i want add HIM type for my site but i don't know way to add it. Please intro
Thank
I'm sorry Atulaking, I don't know why it doesn't work.
Vietnamese works fine in all other themes for SMF 1.1rc1?
I'll try to find out why.
Could you try making a post in Vietnamese here >> http://smf.jasidog.com/index.php
So I can see if it happens there too, you can post as a guest.
i'm sorry. I try test on your site but it doesn't display font. It too. it resemble my site. Seem this theme don't support UTF-8?
Seems so Atulaking. I'm sorry.
I'll try and find out why and fix it if I can.
Don't wait around for a fix though.
Edit
Perhaps this is why? >> http://www.simplemachines.org/community/index.php?topic=31874.msg239463#msg239463
Tell me does Vietnamese work with the default SMF theme?
ok! i try type Vietnamese with some themes then some themes can display Vietnamese ( it main that it can display UTF-8) but i'm sorry this theme still doesn't display Vietnamese.
even vietnamese work with default SMF theme and some theme, sorry i don't know.
but when i search some Vietnamese word ( with default SMF theme) then it unable found. it report ' not found"
Why? Please intro for me
Very nice theme !
Cheers xtremecruiser! :)
Atulaking, I can't work out why it doesn't work.
Interestingly when I look at the text you posted on my test board. It has the same appearance in both the Endar theme and the default SMF theme. Maybe this is because i don't have a Vietnamese computer setup?
So the only thing I can think is that it's maybe down to the font choice. Which you can change in the CSS.
Uff.... I almost lost this theme..... it was so hidden.....
The first post has been updated to include the 1.1 RC2 version now. You can also get the version off Angus' Jasidog site @ http://jasidog.com/smf/104/endar
Thanks :)
Wow, I've only just seen this theme. It's very beautiful. :D
Thank you, I think Angus (jasidog) did a really great job :D
Um not that good a job actually. :-[
I just discovered some little problems with the PM section that new code changes in RC2 caused and I missed. I've not updated the package but you can see a quick fix (Files to download) over here (http://jasidog.com/forums/index.php?s=&showtopic=1501&view=findpost&p=39084).
Jas, any news on that other SMF theme you had in the works on your site?
Um no not anything very interesting :-[ It is being working on again right now though. I would tell you when I think it should be ready but I've already missed various timeframes I've given so ....
I tried to play with Endar again, but the PSD's are not sliced when I open it in PS7
Try this one then Trench, it should work ok. :)
really nice! :)

Endar theme to viewing Vietnamese , ex: Verdana, arial,.... ;D
Can I get the PSD footer for 7.0 as well? ;)

Hi lbuisson. This topic should help -
http://jasidog.com/forums/index.php?s=&showtopic=1501&view=findpost&p=39084
It's an error I introduced at the last update, however the error should also mean a missing button. Are you using SMF 1.1 RC2?
Thanks !
Yes on 1.1rc2
Thanks for the hard work converting this for TinyPortal!!
I noticed that the side blocks (left and right) seem to have a grey background instead of the tan background. Where would I look to try to fix this?
Hi FlatEarth. :)
I'm sure you know but I didn't make the conversion. However I found this post regarding the same issue - http://www.tinyportal.net/smf/index.php?topic=2532.msg26334#msg26334
Which provides this solution -
Quote from: crip
In the [index.template.php] file look for two places #D4D4D4; make it :transparent; remove the # also.
Thank you for your help!!
I did not see that other thread, but that sure answers my question.
Hi jasidog,
Is there any chance to put a guidline to help designers converting your theme into Right-to-Left languages (supporting Arabic, Hebrew,... etc)
thank you
Hi Maxhorizon. :)
I think it could be quite a bit of work and I'm unsure what's needed.
Can you test this file please?

Tell me if it helps at all.
If it helps at all then I can work on finishing it for you. :)
