I have vers 1.1.14 default core with no recent changes. I just had a new member join and in the subject line of the email to me it said:
"[SPAM]A new member has joined"
I looked thru all last weeks new member emails and none are like that, the others simply say in the subject line: "A new member has joined" any ideas?
The email went into my inbox and not the spam folder so what can be causing this?
Are you running any anti-spam mods?

Nope, no anti spam mods or any recent changes to the forum at all. New member joined emails from the days before yesterday did not have the subject line titled "[SPAM]A new member has joined"
Look for this in /languages/EmailTemplates.english.php, and see if it's been changed -
*/
'subject' => 'A new member has joined',
'body' => '{USERNAME} has just signed up as a new member of your forum. Click the link below to view their profile.

i bet you have gmail and they have added the [SPAM] to the subject, if you check other spam emails you will see it added.

Thanks, I don't have the folder you suggest I have
languages/Login.English.php and it reads
$txt['admin_notify_subject'] = 'A new member has joined';
emailtemplates.english.php is a 2.0 only file which is why you did not find it.

Thanks, I have Windows Live Mail and the mail in the junk folder has
***SPAM*** in the beginning of the subject text. Maybe something was changed on their end, I'll have to see when new members join :-\
try adding your email address used for those emails to your address book, that should keep it out of the spam folder.

Yahoo mail does that sometimes too. It's not the board.

Thanks, I'll try that but the emails aren't going into the spam folder they're going to the inbox its just that the word [spam] is added on the subject line.
