Hello, we just upgraded to SMF 1.1.14, but at the time of the problem we were 1.1.12 I think? Basically, I made a child board for another member and made them a moderator so they could have more control over it. It was a thread converted into a child board so it already had many posts in it. When she went to split some of the posts they just disappeared. Now at first we thought she accidentally deleted them, but they weren't in our Spam Board(where we set the "Recycling" to go) and if you go into her posts, they're still there in a topic, but if you try to click on the topic it tells you that it doesn't exist.
Any ideas?
I havan't done that much splitting, (but a lot of moving) but my guess is that if/when they were split/moved the wrong board was pulled up before clicking.
They would not be deleted, only moved who-knows-where. I have worried about that before, because I have a really big forum with child-boards going 3 layers deep.
That's why I do all the splitting & moving myself. Odds are the posts are Ok, only lost somewhere. Have fun finding them, LOL.
Have you checked moderation log in admin panel?
I just checked it, it has me moving the topic to the child board, but nothing about the missing posts.
So no posts were deleted/removed? Your webhost provider possibly could have had a power outage causing posts to disappear or the MySQL servers crashing. You might want to ask them about if anything has occurred lately.
