I'm trying to remove the "Last edit" message. I see this $settings['show_modify'] though I'm not sure where to find that setting from the admin page. Any clues? :D

My guess is Admin > Posts and Topics > Courtesy edit wait time (?):
The little question mark links provides this bit of info:
LainaaNumber of seconds allowed for a post to be edited before logging the last edit date.
still if moderators edit the post that line is still added
admin -> current theme show last modification date on modified posts
