My forum is having major issues with performance. I have put my forum in maintenance mode but I want my users able to access their profile to update their email addresses. How can I do this?

Also where can I disable guests from viewing the forum?

On Version 1.1.14

if the forum is in maintenance mode there is no real way to allow users to access just parts of the forum.

admin -> features and options allow guests to browse the forum.

Another question...

Is there a way do deactivate new registrations for the time being, and put in a message to them noteing why?
