Otsikko: Integrating my site with my web layout...
Kirjoitti: Treguard001 - heinäkuu 27, 2011, 05:34:42 IP
Hi guys,

I know there are topics about this somewhere, but I cannot seem to find them.

Basically I have a layout for the rest of my site, and I basically want to fit the forum inside that layout. I'm happy with the look of the core layout, but I just want to fit it inside my page layout. I did it before using a guide on this site, but I can't find that guide anywhere this time. Basically I just literally created a header.php and footer.php in the default directory and split my page layout and it worked fine.

Thanks.

please do not post multiple topics on the same issue, your other thread has been removed.

The best way is to create a copy of the default.

OPen index.template add two template layers, ie function template_site_above(){} and template_site_below(){} and your code goes in those. Open phpmyadmin, find the copy in the themes table and the column for template layers. Click to edit the column and add your layer site to the list.

Just a quick note on that also. You will need to disallow users choosing their own theme, since that kind defeats the purpose of the whole deal ;)
