Hi
I had to do an update on my database so in smf admin I changed the DB password and put the server setting into maintenance mode.
Now I can't connect to my forum and it says Connection Problems
Sorry, SMF was unable to connect to the database. This may be caused by the server being busy. Please try again later.
Now I have checked Settings.php and have verified that all the db settings such as db name, username,password are all correct. I have even connected to the db via ssh with all the same information and it works fine (as in logs me into mysql and accesses the db) but smf will not connect even after I changed back to $maintenance = 0;
Any ideas? :(
Have a look at Repair_settings.php (http://wiki.simplemachines.org/smf/Repair_settings.php) and see if it resolves your issue.
