Hello all.
I've seen a SMF forum with an interesting feature:
everytime I post some word or phrase, it replaces it with a link
Example: I write "google" inside a post and when i submit it, SMF replaces the word "google" with a link for "xxx.google.xxx"
Anyone know how to do that?
Thank you
Well, the quickest way of doing it will be using the word censor, it is unknown to me if there is such a mod in the mod site.

Hello,
thank you for your reply.
I'm pretty new using SMF and I really can't find that option anywhere. Can you tell me where is it?
Thanks
Assuming you're using SMF 2.0 the censor word is in admin / forum / Post and topics / Censored Words / Click here to add another word.

I have to install 2.0, i was using 1.1 .
Hello,
I was looking for exactly the same thing, and I tried the censored words feature. At first this seems to work great, but it has some issues:
- If an url contains the censored word the url will be malformed and the resulting html will become invalid
- Topic titles are also censored, which is logical for real censored words. But in this case, if a user clicks on the "censored" title, the user will be taken to url destination i.s.o. to the topic.
- If a user edits his/her post the words will be censored too. This results in added href tags to text for every edit. So the undesired tags will even be nested after each edit.
So, hopefully there is some other solution...
(using SMF 1.1.14)
